  hello all - long ago i posted under sosad..... cant get back under that name so hello again.

  i though i remember in hte last couple of years that there was a change in the strict practice of not clinking glasses and toasting,,, that it was more of a conscience decision.. was i dreaming this?

  any help towards printed information on this subject is very much appreciated..

  i have been sad to see so many groups and individuals say that the cause of these events are the mental status of the shooters.

  i have looked over the backgrounds of these shooters, and few had medically identified mental health issues.

  it is too easy to think that people shoot or kill other people because they are mentally ill.. actually, many or most people with real mental illnesses are most likely to be the victims of others.. i have been a volunteer with the organization called nami (national alliance of mental lillness) for 25 years now.

  Let's dissect the 2nd. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, ( comma, first clause) meaning there has to be a means of defense against enemies, bad guys, whatever you call them. it needs to be equipped on par with the military of the time, and be at least somewhat standardized.

  the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed ( second clause). Since an army of the greatest power in the world was used to suppress the lowly citizens and it could (and has) happen again. (Power corrupts). So regular people had and have the right to own personal firearms equal to those of an army.

  hey guys, i've been pimo going on full inactive for a very long time, 5+ years.

  pretty happy with the current situation.

  over the years, i've gotten lots of grief from the local elders and cos for my inactivity, attending wordly public events and social media posts.

  Bet those people who grumbled about having grandpops Winchester 1903 confiscated didnt get over it, just learned to keep their mouth shut. I have heard the pumps and levers are on the radar, and a bolt is the only action that will handle real high power cartridges

  Death has been sanitized. we seldom see anyone die, are removed from the farm. Add in the sadistic feelings we all have if we will admit it. ( how often do posters wish a less than peaceful death for GB?). Couple that to frustration with either a " group" or society and a very few will snap.

  I shoot, support 2A, and realize there are some guns no one needs; but who decides and when will they decide the reasonable laws are already passed? Given money to waste I enjoy shooting fast, but don't have the funds, so there is the "reason" for ho caps, autos and all. You can apply the same logic to cars, who needs to speed or accelerate to the capabilities of half the cars sold?

  i was in full time service for six years including bethel.

  once i got out of bethel, i figured i had already given them six of the best years of my life (ages 18-24) working as a slave/drone in their factory, so i rationalized that i had given them enough... so over the next 27 years i would say maybe $200 bucks is it.

  i think their whole "voluntary contributions" idea is biting them in the ass, because over all jehovah's witnesses are a cheap group people with a few exceptions.

  Those green handshakes....I never had much, but when I received a " look of horror" from a CO when I mentioned overtime they quit. OT always was because something had to be done, never be cause of the boss being generous. I always needed the money and not for vacation or a boat

  I am skeptical on the human portion. What caused the large changes in times past? Some of the solutions will harm society; and if you want to see environmental damage, just look at any large scale social upheaval.

  Things like carbon credits just transfer money to those who can afford it.

  Cant give away my location, but pollution follows wind across state lines, so maybe all states east of California should sue them for having large population and forest fires. Ozone going up because of smoke from california will not be solved by restricting autos in Santa fe
